El Salvador is a small jewel of Central Amarica that is rich in culture and history. It is the smallest country in Central America and the most densely populated, borded by the Pacific Ocean (to the east), Honduras (to the west and south) and Guatemala (to the north.) El Salvador has one of the most modern airports in Latin America that serves as a hub for TACA, the Central American airline alliance. The capital of El Salvador is San Salvador and is the country’s business center.

El Salvador has much to offer to travelers. It has beaches, it has historical ruins, and more. The traditional food is the Pupusa, which is a pancake-like dish filled with mixed pork, spices, beans, cheese, some veggies, etc. The main currency is the U.S. dollar.
